SecurAtlas gets you from a blank account to a scored, framework-mapped security posture in a single onboarding flow. This page walks you through each step — from creating your account to downloading your first compliance report.
SecurAtlas measures your posture against a unified library of 64 security controls. Every framework you select (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST CSF, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and others) maps to these same controls, so you never answer the same question twice.

Steps to get started

1

Create your account

Go to the SecurAtlas sign-up page and register with your work email. After verifying your email address, you land on the onboarding flow at /onboarding.If your organization already has a SecurAtlas account, ask your administrator to invite you instead of creating a new account.
2

Choose your account mode

SecurAtlas offers two modes:
  • Solo — for a single organization managing its own compliance program.
  • MSP — for managed service providers who manage compliance across multiple client organizations from one partner portal.
Select the mode that matches how you plan to use the platform. Most individual organizations choose Solo. If you are setting up on behalf of multiple clients, choose MSP. See Onboarding modes for a full walkthrough of each path.
3

Complete the baseline security assessment

The baseline assessment is a structured questionnaire that evaluates your current implementation across the 64-control library. For each control, you indicate whether it is fully implemented, partially implemented, or not yet in place.SecurAtlas uses your answers to calculate your first risk score — a number from 0 to 100, where higher is better. The score also determines your risk level:
Risk levelScore range
Low80–100
Moderate60–79
Medium40–59
High20–39
Critical0–19
Complete the assessment honestly — you can update control statuses and attach evidence at any time after setup.
4

Select your compliance frameworks

After the baseline assessment, choose the frameworks relevant to your organization. SecurAtlas automatically maps your existing control responses to each framework and displays a readiness percentage for each one.You can add or remove frameworks later from Settings → Compliance frameworks.
5

Explore your dashboard and download a report

Once onboarding is complete, SecurAtlas redirects you to your dashboard. The dashboard gives you an at-a-glance view of your security posture through four key metrics:
  • Risk score — your current posture score out of 100, color-coded by risk level.
  • Annual exposure — an Annualized Loss Expectancy (ALE) estimate showing the financial value at risk based on unmitigated threats.
  • Controls implemented — the number of controls marked as fully implemented out of the total 64 in the library (for example, 18 / 64).
  • Average readiness — the mean readiness percentage across all selected compliance frameworks.
The dashboard also shows a three-step getting started checklist. Each step links directly to the relevant section so you can complete or revisit any part of setup. To download your first report, go to Reports in the left navigation and select a framework. Choose Download PDF to export an audit-ready summary of your current readiness.

What’s next

With your baseline in place, you can start improving your score by implementing controls and attaching evidence.
